Question

Lo,

OK I'm looking for a app (preferably free) that can do a global search and replace for values in the registry on an NT4 workstation.

Anyone know of such a thing?

Thanks,

Simon.

I use this. Registry Search + Replace v2.15

It's not free (just $20), but you can use it for a limited period.

Don't know of a utility, but why don't you just send out the change that you want via a .REG file attached to the login script for example.

Ozzy, thanks.

Father Jack, that would be nice but I don't know where all the values are for this in the registry. Hence *search* and replace... Thanks guys.

That sounds dangerous to me - as a test (in the interests of science) search for netlogon and replace with arsebiscuits - see what happens

Lightbulb

Try exporting the registry to a file and then use a normal text editor to do the find/replace. You can then re-import the registry - if you dare!
