A bit misleading and nipped in the bud anyhow. 800% increase in Android malware this quarter.

Do you have evidence of that jack?
Just curious, I now have all apple devices so it's not a fanboy row?

It's more like 80% and the report was by McAfee so they won't be looking on the bright side.

I don't think it's too much of an issue if you a careful about what you download and what permissions you are granting

No, it is bad and it's getting worse as market share increases. Google say that anyone running Antivirus software is being robbed, thats how much they care.

Not really, Apple didnt know and this software was running for a couple of months until the developer told them what it did, only then did Apple stop the app and banned the developer, bit stupid if you ask me as they should have really sat down with the developer to find how to stop other apps that contain malware.
It will no doubt happen again and probably Apple wont be aware of it as some developers wont be telling them whats going on

I already know about those nasty people out there Jack
But Apple seem to think they are untouchable, maybe this is a bit of a wakeup call that they need?
Still they do a better job than the android apps but they need to be more vigilant.

It's not Apple that think they're untouchable, that's Google. "Antivirus vendors are thieves"

No doubt some kid managed to get a swear word in an App Store game as well, you never know, keep an eye out for it and let us know so we can shield our eyes.
