Falsh / Photoshop Help Please
#1
I have a flash movie with a grey background. I also have an image of a woman which I have cropped out of another image. I have set the background of the image to transparent.
When I import it to flash as GIF format with transparency turned on I still get a lighter grey box around the imported image.
Is there any way of ensuring complete transparency. And what is the best format for keeping file size down but image quality respectable.
Thanks in advance.

Rik - the rule is generally:
Photos - JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group)
Images with larger areas of single colours - GIF (Graphic Interlaced Format)
For your Flash movie, export the image out from your graphics package as a JPG, then import it into Flash.
Go to (cant remember it now - um) Modify/Tools (either or), then "Trace Bitmap" This will trace the image and turn it into a vecotr image. You can then play about, and delete the surrounding area of the woman.
You can also press CTRL-B to break it apart then delete the edges with the eraser tool.
