Default I've gone and done it........ G27 on its way!

Just thought I'd share with the board - just bought a G27 steering wheel!

Should fit nicely with my Omega GT Racing chair (when they all turn up!!)

Congratulations. Expensive but the driving experience will be more than worth it.

Tell me about it

Bought GT5..... went round to a friend's house where we experienced the game using his G25 and his Gameracing chair.... decided to bite the bullet and bought my own.

the rally stages on that game are something else!

Does anyone have any recommendations for other driving games worth their salt?

Need for Speed: Shift should be nice and cheap now, a little more accessible than GT5 I felt (I hardly ever have a straight 2 hours to "play" in my life). Easier to customise and get involved.

NFS Hot Pursuit isn't very good with the wheel, as said above, Dirt2 is a good choice.

Did you have a look at the Fanatec wheels before buying the G27?
I used to own the official Xbox360 wheel and a G25 together with a Playseat. Sold them all and went down the Fanatec route and it is pretty impressive!! (I needed support for PS3 and 360)
I'm sure you'll have heaps of fun once you get used to your wheel!
All I can say is stick at it cos it does get easier (And you get quicker too moreso than with a conventional controller!!!)
