well **** me sideways with a barge pole, monitor bargin
My old monitor, aka bertha
one of them type of things, finaly started to go in november, went very very dark no mater what settings you had it on.
Borrowed a monitor from a mate and been using that, but finaly decided enough was enough and decided to buy one.
after hunting round found a few suitable but then came across this one,
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/aoc-e2...77491-pdt.html
after i fell off my chair, picked my self up, fell off the chair again and got back up at the fact it seemed like a decent price at PCWorld. Comparing the specs to others i coudn't see anything amiss, reviews on net said it was a good budget monitor comparing it to others of similar spec, so poped down and got it.
Got it out and fired it up and first thing, christ pass me the sunglasses its bright lol. The monitor i borrowed was 17, so seems like a cinema by comparison size wise. I've tried it on various games at max res and can't seen any ghosting or any issues with how clear the picture. Tried a few films as well and they all look great as well.
so all in all realy pleased with it, and i'm mega suprised at PCWorld. 99% of the stuff they sell is mega expensive, but this seems like a bit of a bargin at £130 compared to similar spec which are at least £50 - 60 more than that.
They also doa smaller version of it 20inch i think for £110 so if you need a monitor i'd def recomend one

not sure i'd want to go bigger than this tbh. i've always been a bigger is better kinda thinker, but after useing to this i dont think i'd want a 23 or 24.
i wanted somewhere i could just go and buy rather than wait for delivery, i was beeing impatient lol

well, and i cant believe im saying this, but PC World can have some bargains
gah i feel a cold sweat coming on....
BUT Usually only if you go via their website order and then do collect (with quidco!)
most of the time they are the PC equiv of Halfrauds though
although useful for the odd bit if you're in a hurry
