Blackberry OS 6.0 now available for the 9700
Anyone out there with a 9700 and wanting to know if OS 6 is worth it.... Hell yeah it is! Lol
I'm like a kid with a new toy right now. Well worth the upgrade.
I'm glad I held out and didn't bother with the Torch now.

Ru Ning beautifully on mine, full install and restore leaves 70mb free, as oppose to 83 that was left with my apps on too.
All my apps, berry weather, berry buzz, tube maps, etc all working fine.
Occasions momentary stutter when you have 10+ chats open with a few browser pages too.
The universal search is superb, the multiple home screens are little confusing, as for social feeds. Very nice indeed, well thought out.
All in all, running fine little different to what most berry users are used to,but worth the upgrade.
Is telmap a paid product? If not I will install it and let you know.

I read there are still some issues, particularly with third-party apps. Ubertwitter, for example.
this is the only reason I've been holding off. I assume the leak was vendor-neutral, Snazy?

Leaked beta OS from a source other that BlackBerry? you must be mad
That said, Ive done it in the past! its the sort of thing you only regret when things go wrong. I remember doing my iPhone to IOS4 while it was still dev release and had a hell of a time trying to roll it back to something workable.

Cheers Snazy. I had an issue running Telmap last night as it happens on OS5 .979
Message of synchronizing resources...please wait. It hung like that for ages. I just had to exit in the end. Left it like that later when I got home and it did load but after how long I'm not sure. may be an issue their side as it connects to their servers I presume.

Its a genuine release so to speak, just not intended to go direct from RIM to consumer.
