Streaming nightmare
Can someone explain how i can stream a movie from my netbook to my 360/PS3.
Ive tried using TVersity but its so god damn so and keeps pausing. I think the main reason is because i streamed it wirelessly.
Someone said i can connect the two (netbook/360) with an ethernet cable which should be smoother.
What exactly do i need to do to achieve this?

What movie are you trying to stream? I mean in terms of is it a divx AVI? How big is the file? I find that if the divx is a high bitrate I need to connect via Ethernet cable but avi's of tv shows which are a lower bitrate stream fine.
Tversity may be trying to encode the movie on the fly before it stream to the 360 which could also cause the stuttering.

I use PS3 Media Server (it's also for the xbox) and don't have any problems although mine is over a wired network

Ive used WMP 11 to sream HD movies to my 360, with no probs... ( i get the odd hiccup now and again but relativley small occurances)
Ive just started to use tversity (last night lol) and am going to play around with the encoding / resoloution to see what the limits are

I use PS3 media server also, and I can play 720p movies/programs wirelessly without any problems. But when i try and play 1080p movies thats when i start to get problems. So I just connected my pc to the back of my TV to solve it. Bit of a pain in the ****, but does the trick.
