Nightmare - large lorry reversed into my unattended, parked scoob 3 weeks ago (at work) and customised my bonnet and bumper. Now gone in for repair. Driver of truck reported accident to reception (cos colleague witnessed it !!) so hopefully should retain 35yrs no claims !!
But I do not believe the Micra - wind down windows, the ultimate vague gear selection, no power, a seat that Wimpey/MacDonalds would be proud of (very fast to slip into and out of for fast food consumption) - but great headlights - you can see more than 50m ahead on dipped let alone main beam !!!! Why would anyone spend money on one ????
Should get scoob back Friday - can't wait.

service is about a tenner and happens every three years if you need it or not. Insurance is also a tenner. You need a further tenner a year for petrol, and I heard once that someone needed to put new tyres on one, but I think that is just a rumour.
(Got one as a town car. Do you really need 220 BHP and 4WD to sit in a traffic jam?)

Can't disagree - definately a cheap car to run - but no fun at all.
I dislike even the thought of any journey in it.
Every time I get in the scoob its great wherever you go what ever the traffic. OK it costs - but unless you are having cash flow probs (and I've been there !) the scoobs my favourite !
Wrong bumper delivered/ordered so should be ready Friday (hopefully this weeks Friday)

Weyhey!!!! The "Do You Drive A Minger" debate comes round again (the answer of course to which is YES )
My wife's car gets city/Tescos/North Circular(read Jam)/"dodgy area parking" duty regularly - Scooby gets Out Of Town/Motorway/A Roads/Twisties/Meets etc.
Can anyone beat this: E Reg Suzuki Alto 770cc Triple - last time a tyre needed replacing........err........nope, not since she's had it (1993) Last service.....well I changed the oil last year (I don't think she'd had the oil changed since she got it ) - if it blows up, gets nicked, crashed, vandalised...who cares!!!
Beat that

ChispyDickbloke ,
I don't own it, my wife does and I drive it however I like - it doesn't make any difference though, it's bulletproof!!!!!!
Rich, you nearly win due to it being a D reg but I'm afraid anybody can own a rust heap with no MOT, I'm talking about a road legal, running, day to day Minger!!!
