Decisions Decisions What Would You Do?
Decisions decisions bare with with me lol....
I recently took a non working MacBook Pro 17 in part ex. It transpired that the HDD had died. Ive installed a new 320Gb hdd and loaded Leopard and upgraded the RAM, all tickety boo. Now ready to sell on Flea Bay.
Now I'm not used to using Macs as I've not had any real need normally I prefer HP Laptops as they've always served me well. Still not totally convinced with Vista but to be honest its a whole lot better with all the updates.
My dilemma for what its worth is do I sell the MBP or keep the HP?
The real concern is that as I do mainly Home/Business computer callouts (99% Windows based) would I be better sticking with windows?
Although tbh the MBP is growing on me and I'm starting to use this more and more including writing this post lol
Any feedback good or bad welcome just interested to know if any of you else do something similar to me and use a MBP or would cash in the MBP and stick with the HP?
Thanks

How are you slaving the drives? USB/Firewire caddy? In which case you should not have a problem if you're Dual Booting as XP/Vista should be able to read the drives without issue.

Hi Markus
Normally they're slaved via usb so that I can remove the nasties via Eset etc. or just to copy data from drive to drive.
TBH its the malware/virus part I'm concerned with but from what everyone is saying DB should allow this to continue.
I've just done all the update/grades to 10.5.7 and will load the DB via Bootcamp later this morning. Major learning curve going on here this morning as my knowledge whilst thorough on Windows, is limited on Macs so apologies for sounding like a numpty
