if so how do you get 1mil points in outrun mode?

Bought this morning and its great. Not sure how to get the 1 mil points though. Also when I played multiplayer and reached the 1st checkpoint the road vanished?! Anyone else had this problem?

It's very similar to Outrun 2 on the Xbox.

In fact, it's just OutRun 2 SP from 2004 ported to the new consoles. So cheaply ported that I noticed that it still says "OutRun 2 SP" in the bottom right of the screen when you reach a goal

Managed to get 1 mil in outrun mode. Played on 'normal', slipstream behind cars and then overtake cleanly (you get bonus points this way. I think you get more points for overtaking buses, lorries etc and then a big bonus for passing the rivals.
