Taking things back to basics, what do you mean by "Zombie spam" and why do you want to monitor it?

Tell us a little about the computers involved - is it just one at home or a small network? What operating system are they running, and do you have anti-virus and firewall software installed?

Why are you in need of help - what exactly has happened?

As boomer says, Wireshark might be a using a sledge hammer to crack a peanut.

If there's a broadband router involved, you might be able to block all machines on the network from sending e-mail out and then track down the infected one(s).
