Hello, i finished playing a PS2 game then was trying to go on the internet, then the tv screen went black maybe this is symptoms of overheating or a virus. This isn't a fault in the tele because when the PS3 sometimes freezes ( connected via wifi ) it's usually 3 bleeps when i switch it off.Just bleeped once then immediately went off.The joypad didn't switch the PS3 on too.Can anyone help.

mine did this before it decided to never switch on again!!!

if your in warranty send it in for repair

if out of warranty stick it on ebay while it still switches on

they wouldnt fix mine they wanted 145 quid so i threw a wobbly and bought a 360 elite, i would advise against this as the ps3 is far superior imho and i miss it

 

This one is the 60 gig launch PS3 & has only done this once mbc.If it does die on me i will selll the games etc. That is the exact same symptoms you had then mbc ?.

 

Also some of the PS2 games are freezing and one in particular is a pinball game i just bought.I bought a lorry load of pre owned games from game recently and that was when the freezing started.The one PS3 game that has frozen is Baja Edge Of Control, i never had freezing problems before this started.Also this isn't occurring with other games.

started freezing

the started switching off with 3 bleeps

then one day switched off then wouldnt switch back on, mine was launch day console too

i only ever played call of duty 4 on mine and watched movies, try calling them as they may repair as not completely dead
