Default Offers on USB pocket HDDs ?

Hi all

I am after a couple of reasonably large (over 150Gb) USB2 pocket hard drives to use with my Pioneer CDJ400s. Does anyone know of any offers on anywhere, or the best place to get these drives ?

Play.com have some good offers and their usual free delivery. I use a Seagate Free Agent 120Gb which is very reliable, but came with a dual-usb cable (one for power & one for data) which is annoying. You can probably get a WD Passport for ~£60: Play.com (UK) : Western Digital My Passport Essential Mobile 160Gb

I've got a couple of freecom with the rubberised case and integral cable.

They've been travelling around in the country with Royal Mail in a jiffy bag and no probs at all.

I sold my 800mk2s and bought them and they really are bloody good. My only grip is still that they only read CDRs and not DVDRs so you cant burn a DVDR with MP3s. But you can connect a 500Gb drive so its not that important

They look a bit Star Trek sat above the 1200mk2s.....

2x500Gb drives to mix with sounds heavenly Are they easy to search for the tracks you want? Uses ID3 tags ala iPod I guess? My old stuff is badly tagged but well organised in folders. Need a major clean up

Take a look at this Mr Dunk
Mp3tag - the universal Tag Editor (ID3v1, ID3v2, APEv2)

Very powerful tool if you need it but also very easy.
Can do folders/filenames -> tags no problem at all.

Forums dead helpful too

Ta, I've been using v2.41 to tidy some of my tags. Not tried doing it from file/folder names though, will give it a go

You can search by folder or ID3 tag details. If you connect an iPod you can also browse by playlist, artist, album, etc.
