Question Finance Software

Morning All,

Employer is currently running Oracle Financials and due to recent buyout and down sizing they are looking to change the Finance software they use - to something more "smaller business oriented".

Needs to have:-

Accounts Payables
Accounts Receiveables
General Ledger (perhaps?)
Purchasing
Cash management
Supplier / Customer management
Ability to raise payment batches that are supported by BACS.

All suggestions greatly appreciated....

Cheers

Andy

GnuCash has small business features but maybe too small for your needs.

Hey Andy!

Hows it going? Long time no speak, mind you I dont frequent these forums much these days.

I work primarily with Sage 500/1000 it will do the above. Alternatively you could look at Sap Business 1 SAP UK Small Business Solutions ? SAP Business One in Detail or Interprise Suite, Connected Business - Interprise Suite Resellers

Feel free to PM if you need more info.

Gary

Hi,

I'd check Dynamics NAV from Microsoft.
Will do what you want, and can be modified if need be.

I'd seriously stay well clear of SAP - costs a fortune to implement and doesn't really work for you as such - you change your business processes to suit it.
Sage is reasonable so long as you don't need any modifications done.
However, it is quite limiting.

Company I work for do supply system of all sizes to SME's
We have 3 products we choose from - we're also Gold certified with Microsoft.
We're based in Northern Ireland though.

If I can help with anything, feel free to ask

Cheers,

Shaun

I think your thinking of Sap R/3, I was referring to B1 and they are completely different beasts. Agreed bespoking Sage is a pain if you want to change forms etc. but easy enough to hook directly into the data. NAV is a good product.

Sorry to hijack the thread, how are you finding the Sage 500/1000 business these days. I work for a Sage reseller and the product seems to be slowly dying, well either that or our sales people are useless!
