As Chris B said shucks that is what ScoobyNet is about. Shame we where thawted at every stage. Thanks to Chris for his compaq and iis knowledge..
Damm diskeeper didn't work but the Bcupdate did but prolly a little late. I am going to spend some time finding out why Diskeeper didn't do what I wanted..

Three minds are better than one.
Not seen the Disk Keeper trick on the MFT to get round the flashing cursor problem before. Maybe I've just been lucky all these years not having seen a NT box do that before?
It's a bad phrase, but every day is indeed a school day.
