Question

Hello All,
Just found out that CuteFTP won't work with IE6. Has anyone found a way round this (apart from installing IE5.5, before you say it ), or if not can you recommend another FTP application that will run with IE6/XP.
Thanks,
Paul.G

I ran CuteFTP 4.x with IE 6 on Win 2000 Pro for quite a while.

Have you tried CuteFTP Pro? Far, far much better than the std version IMO.

I'm on IE6 with W2000 SP1 right now and been using Pro for a month without issues. Multiple downloads, browse whilst downloading and the interface is very good.

I've just thrown out WS_Ftp Pro for Cute FTP Pro. Can't believe how much better it is - a true convert now.

Paul,
Im running XP@home, Internet Explorer 6.0. I also have CuteFTP 4.2.4 on my machine. Ive just clicked on a link in IE to initiate a download and CuteFTP fired up (automatically) and downloaded the file.

When I tried to Install Cute4.2 it just kept coming up with pop up saying I needed IE5, but all is OK now as I have just put Cute Pro on and it is working fine.
Thanks for the help,
Paul.G

I use IE for all ftp stuff, dead easy. Only thing is that I have to use Cute for changing permissions.
