Whats the easiest way of converting these files to play in windows media player ??

use this codec - Combined Community Codec Pack

will enable playback in media player

Not what you asked but get The KM Player so you don't have to convert!

lite for just mkv files into media player

Just get VLC player and that plays all files even the MKV one's

The km player, does the same job as vlc only better.

Just played i am legend but the screen looks cropped is there any way round this using WMP ? Or would i be better gettin one of the above players ??
