MP4 Player with at least a 4" screen and 20gb HDD?
Ok, I am in need of a new gadget for playing my MP4 movies. I convert these from DVD or DivX so the resolution and bitrate can be anything I want.
That said, my old PSP was really good for playing movies apart from only taking 4gb cards at the time and having crap sound output volume.
So I now need another MP4 player as I use it when on holiday for watching films on the plane.
What do people recommend from exprience? I don't want to spend a fortune but would like decent battery life and at least the room for say 10 films.
Cheers,
Wayne.

I would go for the iPod Touch as well. Even the 16gb version will have enough room for 10 films (depending on how you encode them) and all your music. If not there is the 32gb one as well. In addition you get the ability to play with the internet (at a wireless hotspot), check your email etc..
The only downside is it is very expensive.

don't you think iPOD's are overrated ?
As a PC user who hates iTunes with a passion, I wouldn't buy another. I want something I can copy and paste to from my PC with ease.
What about Archos 605 ?

It doesn't bother me that much though, I use Windows Media Center on my PC to actually listen to music with just a pointer in Itunes to the MP3 files and Videora (to convert movies) automatically adds the converted file to Itunes.
The only times iTunes loads is when I plug in my iPod.

Been to have a look at Meadowhell tonight and I do like the iTouch.
The problem I can see whith buying this is the price compared to the acrhos 605 above. I don't actually like the 605 but the older 604 wifi looks ok and there are a few on ebay at the momemt with 30gb hdd for around £140 including postage. The ability to record TV and playback to TV is very appealing.

I have an iphone and an older Archos and would say that the screen size of the Ipod is pretty small for watching anything of length. The Archos is better in my opinion for this. And also the Archos has video in so save yourself the money of the ipod and buy an Archos with Bullet cam and mount it on your car for all those action overtaking maneuverer's!
