the beta was an invite only release I believe --- therefore I would not trust any of the 9's that are out there unless they came from a ms site.

embedded keyloggers or trojans that get installed alongside the msn application. Some installation packages are modified to included other programs.

I'm sure I'm going to regret saying this but I've been using betas like this since I can remember ... If someone wants access to my email, they can have it !
As for private conversations... them too
I have run the regular security and it found nothing .. so hopefully I'm clean.

betas are fine - from a known validated source - likes MS's own beta program. such as
https://connect.microsoft.com/
so you dont use your PC for shopping or internet banking ?
How do you know the file you downloaded in the MSN installer and not something else ?
Spyware
and check bundling
Just be careful

Thanks for taking the time out mate and in now way I am trying to sound like a **** when I say... I already know all that.
No I don't shop online and no I don't use Internet banking but I still don't want spyware.
I understand your concerns and appreciate your advice !

not much different to be honest. With the patch its clean and tidy.. other than that the only other thing is the report spamming users button
