Funnily enough I had one of those saitek 3200's in my hand earlier.. ended up with just another cheapy mouse (albeit twice the dpi of my last one)

I play bf2 a lot and when I first tried my new one it was way too lairy. I actually think the cheap 800dpi one I had before was better for bf2.

To be fair, I've never had anything made by Saitek that was anygood.

Logitec aren't far off.

Kind of rules out 80% of stuff sold at PC world

Out of the cheap stuff, I bought some cheap A4 tech mice, and they are holding up well: not gaming mice but cordless, lots of buttons, accurate, fast, and nice ergonomics.

yea i been looking at the razer ,and have narrowed it down to either a copperhead or diamondback, the copperhead is swinging it for me just a liitle more at the moment, only because it seems to have better reviews..but i do like the look of the diamondback more..but the look wont matter when im playing some fast action online game, like BF2142.just want something that works well and can get good quick accuracy. the GM 3200 looks is what i went for over the mx518 and g5 the first time.

Got a diamond back my self, true gamers mouse. Had various logitechs and not of them have been a patch on this.

Theres also a nice microsoft/razer one which is a combination of the 2, forgot the name but heard good things about that.

When you come to buy one id have a look on play.com

With free delivery there cheeper than all the other places.

Tbh Ive tried loads inc several Razer models in my time and dont see any advantage. But I always end up using the cheapo MS stuff. Back in CS pre source days I used their most basic ball mouse and still owned (was playing at top clan online and lan level). They cost me £8 each so I had a new one every 6 months lol rather than clean the gunk outta the ball.

Nowadays I use their cheapy MS Optical Intelli think and its more than accurate in BF2142 which is what I spend most of my time playing online and Id like to think Im pretty handy.

I've tried just about every mouse going, but being cack-handed limits my options to ambidextrous designs. I agree with Shark Man that the A4 tech ones have been particularly good and can even withstand those 'Ive just been killed for no reason' tantrum moments !! They're a lot cheaper than Razer, and better built than Saitek.
Bigger DPI does not necessarily mean you'll turn into a killing machine, I have mine set quite low on first person shooters and can still 'pwn n00bs' half my age !

agree with MJW about big DPI - ive just bought a copperhead and found the 2000 dpi too much!!, was spinning round like a mad thing in bf2142... Ive got it set on 400 dpi now!
I wouldnt recommend the copperhead if u have small hands (like mine!) - its too big

We talking spray and pray or prone single shot. If the latter I think my record is 8 with the same clip lol. Oooh I love the Voss. Just cant get to grips with the Baur even though all you here online is Baur is l33t bla bla - naff 20 shot mag puts me straight off.

If you hadnt guessed I still play although only started end of July but am well hooked (the girlfriend actually thinks Im addicted as any spare time Im on it). Had some performance problems that held me back before but now sorted and starting to own. Only really play Suez Titan and Camp G Conquest. Hoping to clear Brig Gen by the end of the week then Im gonna focus on Crysis single player which I got for Xmas. After that I may dabble in CoD4.

I love the gunships on titan. Used to suck so bad but getting some decent kills now and love doing the loop the loop ala Roy Schneider in Blue Thunder Really need to have a go at learning TV soloing though as those things are lethal.

I also use a Nostromo N52 gamepad instead of a keyboard. Another item I would recommend (for the games that dont need 100 bound keys)
