Default DELL server for only £99!

See PowerEdge SC440 - on offer for a few more days!

It's just a shame that you then have to fork out fifty quid to get it delivered

You really don't get much for your money when you actually get to the customise and buy section. 1Gb Ram, 80Gb SATA HDD. Still, for the money what do you expect really...could be tempting to buy just to play around with as a home network learning environment.

OMG!!! Dell want £27 to add a floppy drive to that thing!!

Like, WTF, just what sort of floppy drive are you getting? A gold plated one!?

I know Dell screw you on extras, but they really are taking the mick

They also want £20 to upgrade the DVD drive to a DVD/ CDRW writer. I mean come on, you can get some of the best DVDRW drives for that money.

If you have a dell account rep, you can tell them the price is BS and they will match to the penny the cost of items available from other suppliers, i mean we got a 16 way (4 quad core) for less than half the official price because we umm'd and arr'd and it was the day before end of year and they literally said name your price. Works everytime on other kit too. ie they offered to match the cost of the memory that crucual could supply, fitted.
