BLOODY ANNOYING.
I know ,i've been on Ntlworld about 2 years and everyone i know is well pi55ed off about it.
The only suggestion i can make is to set your computer to check for email every minute.Ntl don't like you to do this ,but i say bo110cks to them.It isn't foolproof but in my experience it does help.
Try it.
BTW,maybe you can help me.
I've uploaded some pictures using the web publishing wizard to my homepage on ntlworld, but cant find them on the net.I think they are uploaded its just i seem to have trouble with the URL.
Anyone any advice.I could ring the helpline but its £1/min.
Cheers.

Hi Paul -
I don't know about the 'web publishing wizard' - is that provided by NTL?
I upload mine using DOS ftp to upload.ntlworld.com - your username and password will be the same as that you use in dialup networking.
Your web site can be found using the URL:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/your_username/
When you first login to the upload server, it partitions off some space for your website and creates a default index.htm file for you. Can you see that?
If you've uploaded something, sometimes it takes a while for NTL's caching servers to refresh with the update - I find that sometimes when I make a change it isn't reflected immediately, despite clearing the browsers' cache. I normally wait until the next day and try again.
Cheers,
Den
