Cool Best TV for Xbox 360, advice please

It's my Sons birthday in two weeks and he has asked for an LCD 20" Flat TV for his Xbox. There are loads out there and I have no idea which will suit him. Anyone got any tips on which ones he can just plug into and will get him the best pics please. TIA
He spends more time on Xbox live than I do on my computer

I would be inclined to go a little bigger to 32" and then just make sure its a half decent make with hi-def and you won't go far wrong.

Thanks.
Do most of the TVs have the usual plug ins for the Xbox. Sorry to be thick, but I have no idea and don't want to let him down.

Most have the usual plug-ins, An HDMI would be nice too. I'm pretty sure all will be compatible but check with the salesman before you hand over your hard earned

Has your son got the premium or core 360 console, if he has the core you will need to buy a new lead to support HD.

As for a TV you cant beat Samsung depending on your budget? Id go for a 26" minimum screen size. Im running two 360's at the moment on a 40" and 32" Samsung R88 model LCD and there stunning.

Premium comes with the component leads as standard so as long has the TV has component inputs you'll be fine - just dont make the mistake of confusing component with composite.

Personally, Sony Bravia's are ace - brilliant all telly's, but as mentioned above Sammy's are popular for games.

Excellent crisp picture. And thats with the standard HD lead. No motion blur when playing games as far as I can see.

We have a 26 inch Samsung, this is what they demo them in the shops on, just got a 37 inch Toshiba 1080p and it looks better on that, any decent hi-def lcd would be fine.

when you go into the xbox360 display settings and it gives you the list of resolutions up to 1080p, are they enabled or disabled(greyed out) if the attached tv isnt capable of that setting?

no its a bit like windows and lets you select stuff that the tv is not capable of, if there is no response within a time frame i think it changes back (been a while since i messed with it)
