Default Zonealarm pro 2007 ??

Just wonder if Zonealarm pro 2007 would give me much protection over the standard Windows xp version firewall ?? running Nod32 and been offered the above firewall just wonder if its worth the hassle off changing over to this new one ??

easy enough to configure when setting up ?? use torrent sites so I take it a better firewall is going to be an advantage over the standard windows version or is it ??!!

anyone here use zonealarm pro ??

I use ZoneAlarm security suite 7.0.337.000 and its a very good all in one firewall and virus scanner, the interface is very easy to use and you can set it as aggressive as you want or less aggressive depending on what your doing at the time.

I have sent you a pm.

Zone Alarm do two different products: the suite, which includes an AV, and the Firewall on its own. You only need the firewall, but ZA will try to sell you the suite. NOD32 is better than the ZA AV, and NOD and ZAP firewall play just fine.

only one firewall should be installed as they will both conflict. i use ZA pro and im very happy with it one of the better less resource hungry apps.

I just dumped Zonealarm Pro after using it for a long time. Recently it has crashed too often, especially when using uTorrent. In addition we have had problems with updates not installing on our machines, and also incompatibilities with other pieces of software that took them months to sort out (Windows Live Messenger being one)

Currently using Kaspersky. Seems less resource hungry, and more capable. Also shows a lot more information in the firewall app about what programs are running, using which ports etc etc.
