Xbox 360 error
Got the E67 code:
Xbox 360: One red light flashes on the Ring of Light, and you receive error E67, E68, or E69
I take it this is going to result in the loss of all my save games? Its intermittent at the moment so anyway of getting my save games off the hard drive before I get it replaced?
TIA

i think you can plug the drive into a pc with a cable and get stuff from it, but if the drive is knackerd, it might not work?
i know there is a way to transfer the stuff from one drive to another, something to do with the new 120gig drives and some cable that comes with them, might be worth looking into it?

Are you using one of those Nyko intercooler devices? When I tried one a while ago, I frequently got this message (because the current drain on the power socket on the back of the console wasn't as expected). Got rid of it and the messages went away as well.

Thanks SM and no Iain i'm not using one of those. The 360 has been sitting in the same place untouched since I bought it. Its well ventilated and doesn't get touched apart from changing discs over. I phoned Game which is where I bought it from and apparently there have been a number of these errors all reported recently. I can take it in and speak to the manager and get it replaced but that was the console and didn't realise it was the HD when I spoke to them. Don't want to lose my game saves as i've spent hours and hours on TDU and Crackdown
Microsoft should come up with saving your game saves to your online profile on Live so that you don't have to worry about hardware issues destroying your game saves.

Decided to call Microsoft. Turns out because its the hard drive thats at fault I don't have to send the old one back, they are just sending me a new one They said to transfer the data over I need to get a memory unit, save my game saves to that and then put the new hard drive in and save them back to that
Just hope the current hard drive holds out until the new one gets here. Also asked them about the warranty, they said I can renew it anytime up until the current one year warranty expires in November.
All in all very impressed with their tech support and helpfullness

My Nippers launch machine expired in January (eek) so he phoned them up about a repair, or warranty fix....they wouldnt play ball, and told him £80 notes take it or leave it...
I phoned up and complained..... they dropped the price to £40 on the spot...
they came to collect it on the tuesday (bank holiday) and it was back with him on the friday... not bad...

Good luck getting that deeal now. MS attitude has gone from "sympathetic" to "apathetic". They will not budge now. I suspect because of the fact that there aren;t many launch machines left that haven't gone back. It really one of the worst engineered consoles I have ever.... Scrap that, it is the worst engineered console I have ever owned.

Classic. The UPS guy turned up at the office today. He got reception to give me a ring.
I get downstairs, he takes one look at the plain brown cardboard box and says
"Let me guess, Xbox, right?"
