Default PS3 - Casino Royale (Blu-Ray) its arrived

Registered my PS3 on 23rd March, got my copy yesterday.

I'm not sure if anyone else has there's yet, but you should be receiving your copy soon, assuming you have registered your PS3.

Yep, got an email a week or so back confirming it was on it's way - so should be with me any day - you only needed to create an online master account via the PS3.

Shame I bought the darn film on blueray with the PS3!

My mate showed me this running on his PS3 recently I was severely unimpressed with image quality.

It could've been the TV I suppose - Toshiba 37" HD (LCD). Seemed to have latency (ghosting) issues.

Perhaps the PS3 Blu-Ray quality is a bit $hit ?

More likely the limitations of LCD, I'd imagine....

The PS3 is not the best blu-ray player out there, but it sounds more like he's got a cheap LCD screen to me.

So Anth, is this finally going to justify your nice Sony 1080p screen to the wife?

Thats personally the route I'd take when I eventually get a PS3 (or X360) - an HD projector, so I can have GTA:IV running on the whole back wall of my den.

Good to hear people getting their Copies. Had an e-mail a couple of weeks ago to expect a 45-day delivery turn-a-round. Can't complain for a freebie.

I have had my projector for a couple of weeks now and I con confirm the above!!! Even in our modest living room I can project well over 130", but have it set at a modest 80" with an appropriate screen. Playing Blu-Ray films on the projector is a sight to behold!

watched this last night on my 42inch philips LCD, it's like someone has wiped the mud out of my eyes. Very impressive. Also amazed at how quiet the PS3 is.

Incidentally, also very very impressed with the quality of the blacks on the philips LCD
