HELP WITH MOBILE INTERNET PLEASE
Hi folks, apologies if this question has already been answered but i am hoping someone can give me some advice/help, i am travelling more now with work and need to get internet access while away, i am not staying away overnight or anything, just on daily calls but need to be able to log on etc and i was wondering if there is some device that would allow me to dial the internet from my laptop using my mobile phone, is this possible and affordable or is it too high tech and expensive ???
Any help that can be given is greatly appreciated

I'm on Tmobile and pay £10 a month for 2gb of band width.
Bluetooth connection from mac to phone, works perfectly.
if I'm in a gprs area, then ist effectivly dial up, but if I'm in a 3g area then its between 280 and 384 kbps. Suits me for 4 hours a week.

I find blue tooth ok, but I had problems cos I use a Mac not PC so getting hold of the modem scripts wasa bitch and required Tmobs tech support support to help!
You can do blue tooth or usb cable. Give them a call also search on their site, I did manage to find some modem scripts for pc's.

Couldn't he hop on to a wireless connection..?
I haven't a clue how to do it, but I keep reading about how people can use others wireless connections to piggy back..?
How does that work?

I'm also with Tmobile and use a vario II to access the internet directly on it on a web n walk HSDPA service - very very fast in 3G areas.
The Vario II also acts as a modem to a laptop using BT, IR or a USB cable.
I found the BT a nightmare to set up & use but the USB link works perfectly and speeds up to 1.1 mbps in 3G areas.
Good help with these phones on MoDaCo and xda-developers - Powered by vBulletin
