Default My BT boradband getting slower

hi guys,

I've notice in the last 6 weeks that my BT broadband speed has got slower, used to have 8.2MBS then it dropped to 7.6MBS about 4 weeks ago and now today it's fallen to 6.8MBS.

The exchange is only about 300 yards down the road and hasn't had any work carried out on it.

Before I ring up and complain, only to be fobbed off by BT can anyone suggest what is causing this??

Most likely cause is the contention in your exchange...

I.e 50:1...

Means the more people that have BB from your exchange the more it is shared...kind of...

Basically BB is becoming the norm not the exception now more users = less speed...

I've the same issue...

It sucks...

As I understand things, the contention won't have any effect on your connection speed, only actual the data throughput rate.

John.
