software for recovering data from a crashed hardrive?
morning all
We've got a pc this end which doesnt ger much use, got 2 hard drives, a 6gb master, which works fine and an 60gb slave, which we generally used to back up stuff like images etc to.
Unfortunately, the D drive (60gb one) now shows up in My Computer but wont simply says "drive d is not formatted, do you want to format now'
Anyone know if I can retrieve the data on the drive? I think most of it was backed up anyway, but not certain.
Anyone know?
thanks
Neil

You should be able to. Most recovery software claim that they can restore data even if the drive has been formatted.
Do a quick Google on Data recovery software and you should come up trumps. Most will let you download and scan, then if you find something, you can purchase the software to save it.
