HTML To Display Images on Web Page
Does anyone have any HTML that I can cut and paste. I want to display a number of photos on a web page, ideally with some decent formatting, with maybe hover-overs, however that may be asking to much. I am new to HTML and have tried various sites such as Web Hosting, Free Web Hosting and Web Tools from Bravenet.com. but have not found anything simple to use.
Thanks

Much as it pains me to say it - you can do all these things in microsoft word and just save as index.html and upload to your webspace.
If you are going to do anything serious webwise I would advise learning the basics of HTML then get a package like dreamweaver

Noooooooooooooo, never use word for web stuff. The html it creates is seriously horrible (and generally only works properly in Internet Explorer). Even frontpage creates better code.
You'd be much better off learning some basic html. There are thousands of tutorials on the internet, and for what you want to do, you only really need to learn the basics.

^^^ In fact, you can even do that in notepad if you are so inclined (need to know HTML though), but the Dreamweaver solution is much nicer
EDIT - here's a very simple starting point for you, and easy to follow....

If you have loads of photos to put up can I suggest JAlbum, it's a very nice program that creates pages for you using flash I think.
It's fairly easy to use and you can get skins for it like Bananalbum and have a look at the samples.
Oh and it's free which is always a bonus.

Dreamweaver is a pile of crap. Seriously, HTML, XHTML and CSS are so damn easy to learn, just learn it and do it properly if you're going to be doing it often.

Thanks for all of your comments. I can get around html, use UltraEdit as my text editor. Just not so good with tables and positions, nothing seems to appear correct, especially with different photo sizes, everything ends up going rather sideways.
I will try the jalbum suggestions.
Cheers and please keep your suggestions coming.
Thanks again

You could also head over to the Javascript Source, where you can simply cut and paste code from there into your own pages....
