I have just got my son a PSP for his birthday next week... Don't know what version.

Why would you want to downgrade to v1.5 & what is GTA?

Any hints or tips to get the most out of the unit would be appreciated

Dev hook 040d - it emulates firmware 2.5 firmware and below, it fully includes features like - web browser - themes/wallpaper, location free player etc - runs new games like fifa world cup - splinter cell essentails etc

Best software IMHO

the new mod chip is also about to be released which should be interesting

the new version of GTA does not work as sony closed the door on the loop hole - only older versions of the game will work - best bet is to keep your eye out in 2nd hand shops.

can you tell which version you have of GTA then as i dont want to go out but a larger MS only to find out my GTA is too new

not sure I will do a bit of digging for you if I get chance - your only other way round it is to get the mod chip but its a few quid
