Default USB2 TV Tuner cards - any good ?

Been looking to buy one for my laptop which sits in the kitchen. Its got a big widescreen display so would be handy as a spare tv at times,

Are these TV Tuner things any good ?

Exclamation

I can't speak from experience but I've heard people favour PCI cards (desktop) or PCMCIA cards (laptops) in preference to something which connects via USB.

Cheers

As people reckon that PCI or PCMCIA are better than Universal Serial Bus, I'd suggest-

Peripheral
Electronic
Resources?

Isn't
