Default Xbox 360 best way to connect to HD TV

I've got it on the component inputs at the moment (the six phono plug thingys) but my mate reckons I'd be better with the cable that looks like a PC monitor lead- is that VGA?

Any opinions?

Thanks,
Simon

Really depends on your TV, try them out and see. You won't necessarily see any improvement by switching to VGA, they're both analogue sources. You would see an improvement, however, using HDMI or DVI, although neither of which are currently available on the 360.

I've tried both on mine and preferred component as the colours were richer.

I use the HD component cable as well, it is supplied with the premium pack.
For the same reason as DJ Dunk - I've tried the VGA cable, best used for actually PC monitors rather than HDTVs.
