Default Devices not known????

Just installed xp onto a brand new pc.

After a lot of faffing about with it not seeing the usbs (now sorted) it wont see any devices, audio, video, media etc.

Tried to get it to auto detect and install but as usual it's throwing in the towel. Can anyone reccomend a web site to download drivers from if I can id them.

Cheers

P.s. How do I id them?

You need the driver disks that came with the motherboard or PC

Yeh or dload the soundcard drivers from the manufacturers website direct. As these will be more up to date, and less buggy.

I guess you have onboard sound? So you probably need the Realtek chipset drivers.

Ask the supplier what sound chipset you have in doubt. It will tell you in the mobo manual if u have that to.

Maybe worth puting on all service packs and updates first (Windows Updates) first. If your M/board is not an Intel one then you will need the drivers to hand.
