Does anyone know what software I would need to load 2 seperate video clips (mpeg or wmv) and save them as one video clip - split screen??

Avid DV Express. It's pro software and my pref.

Final Cut Pro also works well if you like fruit in your computer names

They both have a HUGE learning curve - I'm still learning Avid after 10yrs and editing progs you've seen on it!!!! Basics arent too bad though.

Pinnacle is ok too and much more semi-pro.

Both the Pinnacle and Ulead software are very easy to use. Don't cost too much either.

Alternatively, I think Windows Movie maker will probably do the job, and it's free with XP

Ok I'll have a scan round... cheers

(Windows movie player will merge them, but not play 2 clips split-screen)

Adobe Premiere 7 is my current fave, I join 3D studio animations with single screen renders and Pro titles fro multimedia CD's.

Also have all the above and they can't touch premiere.

Just the price thats the downside, oh and the HUGE learning curve

I 2nd Final cut pro (fruit!!!lol!!!!) - but the learning curve is vertical. Adobe is ok but not to my taste.

The ULead one is good too, but getting into semi-pro areas........

Agree with Final Cut Pro if Mac's float your boat.

If you use a PC then having used Pinnacle, Avid Express, and Adobe Premiere Pro i'd go with Adobe every time
