Angry GT4 - Rally stages

I can't seem to find a decent car to be able to compete in the rally stages.
What are people using to do these?
All the cars so far just seem to spin and slide non stop and have crappy steering response.

I know what you mean. I've done all the easy tracks using an STI6 - The different physics in GT4 are really noticable in the gravel stages.

Cathedral Rocks is a pig - I just can't seem to find a rhythm on that track.

Having completed all the rally stages, which I will add some were a pain,I did it using type r think it was a ver.6,car was standard apart from racing exhaust and 6 speed box plus dirt/snow tyres.Had a lot of 5 sec penalties due to the other car ramming which can really get on your **** plus it screws up your race/win percentage.Just keep pluggin away chaps.

Cool

Bought myself an Evo 8, and beefed it up to 521 HP. That seems to do the business on the rally stages! Done about 2/3 of them now and building up a nice collection of rally specials - just won me an RS200

Bit too powerful on ice, mind!

Got a 85 Lancia Delta S4, tuned it upto 553bhp, but it seems just to quick and the wheels are none stop spinning, also had the Impreza rallycar bugeye version that seemed quite good and also tuned the RS200 but had to sell all my cars in my garage to buy the Toyota GT-one Lemans race car to compete in the Gran Turismo world championship in Proffesional races.

I've won the majority of rally spec cars, and I've tuned all of them up, but even when I race without turbo's etc, it still seems too powerful.
The Lancia Delta is the fastest 0-400m car in my collection. Without messing around with any of my cars gear ratios, this holds my quickest time................so far.
There's one special license that is also causing a problem driving the Pug 205 on a snow/ice stage.

Use manual gears, pull off in 2nd or 3rd and stay in a high gear. Makes a huge difference.

Sounds like good advice. Cheers - will give a try later when the pub won't serve me any more...
