Hello Neil,

The 3ivx codec is what you want:

Cheers Dunk

However, installed it and it still won't play them, get all sorts of corrupt file messages and "ClassFactory cannot supply requested class".

Bugga They are mp4 files created from a Motorola A1000 phone, can't see why they'd be any different?

QuickTime will play .3gp/.mp4 files.
http://www.apple.com/uk/quicktime/download/standalone/

Or if you don't like QT player, have a look at QuickTime Alternative
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...lternative.htm

Failing that, try VLC

Thumbs up

Here you go. Go to the second section - Popular CODECS.

Cheers

Cheers chaps - think I'm hitting a brick wall though!!! Tried in Quicktime and it says its not a valid MP4 file, so I guess the way the camera is saving them isn't properly mp4........

Have a look here Neil: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=62723

It may be that your phone is doing something a little funny with the file, so it may just need remuxing with one of the apps listed.

You could also try dropping the file into GSpot to see what codecs its been created with.

Odd as the QT file format was used as the basis for the MPEG-4 file format. What version of QT are you running? Never had any probs with my P910 vids and QT on my Mac.

Anyway, sounds like Neil's A1000 is doing something funky to the files which wouldn't surprise me as it is a 3 handset IIRC.

Franki,

C00D109B is a Windows Media Player error message, not the name of a CODEC. Have a read of http://msmvps.com/chrisl/articles/11318.aspx

Get the GSpot CODEC Tool as mentioned in that article (and by Dunk further up the thread )and use it to find out what your file was encoded with.

Then have a look at the K-Lite CODEC Pack, pretty much everything is in there.

Alex

Even 3's own website and Mpegable doesn't work - recon the files might be corrupt!
