Question Making a CD on my PC with MP3's on it?

My eldest wants to do this, but we don't know how. We have CD Rw drive, but so far have only made ordinary CDs.

Now he wants an MP3 headunit that plays MP3 CDs.

Can someone guide us through how to do it, please?

TIA.

Just create a normal data CD with the MP3's in it, works for most players. Folders of MP3's or loose MP3's will be fine.

Alternatively, Nero Express has an MP3 CD option, which really just filters out any files which aren't MP3's.

Question

Still unsure, (I'm not really computer literate). Sorry

We do have tracks stored on the computer in MP3 format AFAIK, but when he makes a CD now, it always records them as music.

How do you tell it to put them on as MP3?

Just copy the desired files to the cd drive (drag & drop as you would copy files from one place to another). Once all a files are copied then burn the CD (should be an option to 'burn these files to disc'). You can probably get 10/15 albums onto the disc too. HTH.

you need to make a data cd, not a music cd.

Use Nero - this will specifically write an Mp3 disk under the audio options if you so instruct it.
