Question O2 wap/gprs/mms settings anybody got a clue?

OK - I've got a Siemens S65 (same OS as the SL65)

I'm trying to set up my internet & mms on the thing -

how do I do it?

I've called my service provider (Singlepoint), they sent me the settings, but I don't know what else I've got to do.....

Can anybody help a TOTAL noobie to WAP/MMS/GPRS etc WTF does it all mean?

CHeers,

Dan

How did they send you the settings? just the info for u 2 enter or they set your phone up by text message?
If its the latter have you tried turning phone off and back on, should use new settings then, other wise carphone warehouse site has info on setting up manually, under help and info i think.. might help?

thx - just spoke to a VERY helpful chap @ O2

Turns out that even though Singlepoint were sending through the set data messages, even though the settings had been installed, the GPRS setup wont work due to the GPRS provision not be enabled.

SO, I've got to call Singlepoint tomorrow. Get the GPRS provision set up. Then call O2 back.

Not a problem, but I wish the Singlepoint had have notices this in the first place

go through the O2 website, think thats how i did it. It dpwnloaded the settings to my phone.

http://www.o2.co.uk/productsservices...0,,184,00.html

Thats the web page for the Packages you just select the option you want and follow the instructions.

it takes 24 hours for the gprs provisioning to be come active, so you will have to wait before the gprs will work and if you give me your mobile number i will add you on to the NAP system for mms messages otherwise it will not work.
