Argos but only if you go into store and if you are lucky you can reserve one. Work colleague got a call from Dixons today saying his pre-order was ready for collection. Don't think you'll find any off the shelf waiting to be purchased.

can so many be wanting one of these to run out of stock or has sony messed up there stocks again/some sort of weird marketing hype? not everyone who has a ps2 already getting a new one surely

Apparently theres a container ship full of slim PS2's stuck somewhere (suez canal I think) with the units bound for our shores. This is supposedly the cause of the problems the UK is experiencing in the lack of slim PS2's at present.

Oh course you're probably correct, and lets face it, it's the same console anyhow, so why not you the same trick.
Heard on the radio they're now flying some in so shops will have stock again soon....
