WRC 3, any good ?

WRC 3, any good ?
My lad wants a new driving game for his PS2. He's already got WRC 1 & 2 and now he said he wants the next one.
Is it worth him getting it, given that he's already got previous ones?
I know it has the "new" Scoob as an option if you win in expert mode but what else is new in the game if anything?
Cheers

Enjoyed WRC3 - tracks seem to be a bit longer than previous 2, and quite a few are a lot more technical - On Monte Carlo on the first game you could virtually go flat out for most of it, in 3 you can't. I would say don't bother with 3 if he already has first 2.
Has he tried GT4 Prologue? plenty od scoobs in that, but again - the full version is due end of october. I got Auto Modellista for £4.97 out of GAME's preowned bucket if he's into max power style modding.

If your PS2 is that way inclined you could look at a few imports if he's really into his racing games.
I've got Initial D on PS2 which is exactly like the arcade - really cool drift physics and easy to pick up. My fave car is Scooby STi Type RA V5 and mines got Rays alloys and some odd looking kit but looks great
There are a few other Kaido Battle, Tokyo Battle and others.

GT4 is (or will be) the daddy of racing games or "driving simulator" to give it it's proper name - 100 tracks and 600 cars available in full version. Prologue is a cut down version at £25 to give fans a taste of the new physics engine, only has a few tracks and around 50 odd cars but will deffo keep him occupied for a while.
I've seen NFS underground and it's looks ok but it's not really my bag. GT3 is available on the platinum range and can very easily suck your life away - no PS2 owner should be without it. It's not a street racer but you might want to look out for Burnout 2 (typically Burnout 3 is not too far off) which is often described as "Gran Turismo with traffic"

Have got them. Either the flip top lid and Swap Magic discs or the Slide Card and discs. From what I gather the Slide Card may damage something inside the PS2. The flip top lid is easy to fit but as the gubbins can be exposed an element of care should be taken with the machine after.
At any rate at least theres no daughter board waving around inside the case. I don't think they are as comprehensive as chips but it does for me and cheaper than the modchip option.
