ADSL router to go with PIPEX Solo ?
Hi All,
Loking to buy a ADSL router to go with our recently ordered PIPEX Solo. If you have done this can you list the router you use and any problems you may have had ?
Both PCs to be connected already have working network cards (currently hooked to an ISDN Router) so those issues have already been solved.
Cheers

the vigor is one fine adsl modem router but cost $$$. you could consider a adsl modem router from www.ebuyer.co.uk or www.dabs.com (do a search on adsl modem). they are about £40 mark.

Pipex Solo uses a USB DSL modem, so you would need to go for something like a Vigor 2600 which has an inbuilt ADSL modem that allows you to connect directly to the incoming line.

Pipex solo comes with a USB modem. I swapped to an ADSL Modem router, bought from a PC fair so is not branded, but works fine once set up. since then I've bought another cheap one (£41) to use via a laptop and the Xbox. It also works fine.
Have a look on the PIPEX ADSL website (I think you will need your pipex details to login) and it lists the DNS primary and seocndary addresses, plus pop and SMPT addresses, e.t.c. e.t.c. Once you have all these you can set up your router no probs.
If you need further help email me and I will send you all my settings.
