All in one Printers
#1
Does anyone have an "all in one printer" , ie printer/scanner/copier ??
Which one should I go for and are they any good ?
Do they eat printer cartridges more than normal ?
are the cartridges dearer than normal ?
Thanks
Chris

I had an epson stylus scan 2000 - excellent bit of kit, cheap ink etc, good scanner. The newer model is a 3200, you can pick these up for about a ton now I think. The print head went on the scan 2000 so I had to bin the lot, shame it was quite handy.
The only probs with combined printers/scanners is that if one element of the machine breaks you are knackered, although they are convenient and space saving, it seems that modern day injet printers are not worth repairing.
before you buy anything check the prices of the replacement carts - I find http://www.inkraider.co.uk/info.asp?...EPSON%20CX3200 to be pretty good for ink, they also do printers.

I used to sell them ( up until 2 months ago ) and imo HP products are better than epson.
And ive seen actual print results from both and have both a hp and a epson and I while I feel Epson are good, HP have the edge.

I have a HP Officejet V40, good printer and can sheet feed through the scanner only disadavantage is that it cannot scan books etc.
Been using it for scanning bank statements etc & getting rid of old paperwork.

Pistol_Pete,
Agree with the comment that a HP will produce better results than Epson, Though I'm no expert on these things, I would say thats due to the cartridge design, i.e , with HP you are changing the print head with each cartridge, with Epson you are only replacing the Ink.
I still say Epson is better value for money though, the printers seem cheaper, also the ink tanks are a 1/4 of the cost of HP cartridges.
