a78nx deluxe and usb2

bought an external hard drive case which is for the usb2 port on the pc installed the drivers and switched on the drive and it come up with high speed usb device is plugged in to a non high speed usb port, doesnt the deluxe board support usb 2 as i have the external case plugged into the addon card with the motherboard not the usb ports on the board itself

I've got the non-deluxe, and thought that you had to enable the USB2 support....

Have a look at P58 (of the manual!) about enabling USB2.0..........

finally got windows to stop saying its not a high speed connection but i cant see the drive anywhere is there something else i have to do to see it

Well if it is 2k or xp, have a look in the disk management under admin tools. You may have to partition it and format etc, or it has been used in any way, you may need to import it etc. Right click on my computer and select manage.
