I have a dell optiplex gx260 pc with usb 2.
Unfortunately i have had to install windows 98 se to support some cardio respiratory software and breathing apparatus i need to run.
I cannot however find a driver for "PCI Universal serial bus" showing in device manager. and therefore the usb1 printer isn't working.
I think this relates to me needing some sort of usb2 driver
Anyone any ideas, dell won't support me for windows 98 even though it's a brand new pc
Anyone any ideas, this is driving me mad !
Cheers

Looking at the spec, that system runs an i845G chipset by Intel
You could try these drivers for 98SE straight from Intel themselves:
http://developer.intel.com/design/mo...a/va_drive.htm
The Dells usually don't stray too far from the Intel Generic boards if memory serves, so this driver could be right up your street
Cheers,
Nick
