When I boot up XP, It starts me in a folder instead of me desktop

just a guess as I don't use windows much, but maybe you have explorer (set to that dir) in one of your startup sections i.e. startup folder or registry hive

Why? It's me Kazaa one to be specific but it's only just started doing it, not a massive problem, just a pain to have to close the folder before going to where i want to go

as above, start/programmes/startup/....?
what ever is in this folder will start with windows, maybe a shortcut to the folder in question is in there.
