bought this in game on tuesday. 29.99 less 40% (though i think the sales person made a *****). the mature over 18 version had me in stitches. that drill sgt has a real potty mouth on him 
. quick games are great for getting straight into the action. quite like the sniper rifle, good for picking off VCs at range.
must say that it runs rather sweetly on a 3200+ with a 9800 Pro
i started a new campaign and got caught numerous time with booby traps 
feckin annoying
Anyone play this atm can give me some hint and strategies?

Have to argee mate. This is a superb game . I have been playing it for about 3 months now. I have not got past mission one as I have so much more fun playing online. I have about 10 mates and we play online all the time for hours and hours
The game is so realistic.
Have you upgraded to 1.30? This patch fixes a lot of the performance related issues (if you have any)

For the booby traps, you have to keep and eye out for them and then disable them.
Crawl up to the trap and grab your knife. Then point the knife at the grenade with the string attached. DO NOT CUT THE WIRE. Wait until you receive a message on the screen saying do you wish to disbale the trap. I think the option is fire, but it does tell you on the screen.
I found this very difficult to master and I ended up jumping over the trap so much easier, unless you have to back track and forget where they are
What guns have you used so far?
The AK47 is a wicked gun, fast, accurate, huge mag. I normally start with the M-16 and then throw it away (Backspace) when I have run out of ammo and then steel an AK from the VC troops.

Big sinky - we usually create our own just for the evening, but recently we have been using the hosted opens as we have had problems with all getting connected etc.
what would scooby do, where di you get it for £17?

just got this game aswell and failed the 1st mission as i decided to shoot up my own base, always like to know if you can, graphics do look good had to knock the quality down on mine though as mine is a rip so i couldnt run at 1600x1200 or it was unstable

VC is the most realistic game I have played. I do have Soldier of Fortune II sitting on my desk as we speak but I have yet to install it.

game are doing a 40% discount for the summer on some games. the wee lad wasnt sure if VC qualified so he gave it to me anyway. 30 quid less 40% = 17.99.
i was happy as a pig in sh1te m8.

surround sound gives me shivers though...

Went to GAME today and bought this game,
As recommended by you lot.
went to the cinema after and watched Lara, hubba, hubba.
back to mates house before coming home, sitting down and realising I had left it round his house.

Just downloading the 100meg single player demo as I speak.
Might try the 70meg multiplayer tomorrow.
Play seems to be the cheapest at £17.99, and it's in stock.
Amazon do have it at the same price but you have to add p+p and their dispatch time is 1-2 weeks.
Did notice that Play version is rated 15, Amazon is rated 18.

I'll second being stuck on the hostage section,
I've just got there, slid down the hill, got in the swamp, made my way round to the first hut, slotted myself in by a Kiak (sp?) and picked a few off as they walked by but Someone spots me
Just can't seem to kill em without someone seeing it... and they shoot the hostage

no need to sneak around and try and sniper anyone,
all I did was slid down the hill, through the trees, got behind the canes and hid behind the building so that the cage was in view.
"objectives updated"
and make call to engineer for "the distraction", when no vc patrol is in view, run in open cage, tell him to follow you and get the **** outta there (behind trees again) Mission accomplished.

Does Vietcong spook anyone else at times?
I was playing multiplayer (5 guys from work) on Thursday night about 11pm and was playing with the lights off. Running around and killed 2 vc with a pistol and ran up a ladder, saw the 2 that I killed so thought that was the end of them. Turned the corner and saw 2 vc with a sniper rifle and an AK47. I was so close to 1. 'browning' my pants and 2. screaming
Anyone else? Or am I just being silly?
