Re: your application
all something like that.
Not every one has an attachment!!!
These come from verious email address.. not just the same one.
most seem to be from Hotmail.com accounts.
Each time I get them.. I perminantly DELETE them.. I don't open any attachments from them either!
the other day i deleted my whole Inbox by misstake.. when perminantly removing these spam Emails!!
R these Emails VIRUS'?
How can i stop them?
anyone else getting them.. where they from.. what can i do?
Phil
I run AVG Anti Virus.. everyday.

Phil, that'll stop your PC sending them out if you have the virus. It won't stop them being sent to you.
Only way round it is to get in touch with EVERYONE that has your email address and make sure they have and run a virus checker to make sure their PC is clean.

You can follow the instructions for manual recovery towards the end of the instructions, or you can download an Evaluation Copy of SAV, but as Hanslow says, that will protect you from being infected, but not stop the virus being sent out from other machines that have your email address in their address book.

Phil,
There's nothing you can do to stop receiving them. If people have visited your web site and get infected, that alone is enough for you end up getting these virus mails.
Just keep deleting them.
Chris.

If they are coming in to your inbox, then they are more than likely from an outside source. Would seem pretty pointless for the virus to send an email to itself to try and infect itself again.
Don't know how you can track down where they have come from. You might be able to let your ISP know and they might be able to track them back, but given how widespread it is, they may be either not bothered or swamped already.
Unfortunately, given your company having an email address, you can't be sure how many people have your email address in their address book and as a result you could be getting them from anywhere.
