I'm looking at getting a 17" Flat screen and are looking at the
Hitachi CML174SXW and Iiyama Pro Lite E430S, both are about the same price.

Need advice on which is recommended and if there is a better one to go for.

I've had the Hitachi for about a year now and its brilliant. If you can run it from a DVI out on your graphics card the picture quality is fantastic. I play FPS and RTS games and get NO ghosting at all.....

If you are looking to play games on the monitor, make sure that the one you get has responce times of around 20ms.

The Hitachi has a response of 16ms total, watch for some specs only showing time to rise or time to fall.

Had a read of some of the reviews in the article as its on there web page. I the Benq they recommend doesnt have a DVI port and the hitachi has and ships with a dvi cable, or at least did when I got mine.....Also all the * rated models have response times of 20ms+ which is no good for games
