how about a sharp 15 inch for £170+VAT (£199.99 including VAT)? appearingly sony TFT are made by sharp.

Has to be black casing - not many of them about and generally dearer than beige/grey

TBH you need to see them to decide. The problem is that the major 'manufacturers' actually source their TFTs from multiple TFT manufacturers, so if you see a Sony one and think it's nice, it could be that the TFT inside the one you buy isn't the same as the one you saw.

The only way to avoid this is to get a Sharp one, as they make their own TFTs.

I think I'm going to go for a 17" Eizo, personally

But it obviously doesn't exist, as that's a computer-generated mockup of a TFT screen.

I have a choice between two 15" TFT screens one a Sony S51B the other a Samsung SM151P. Both are the same price and have 3 year warranty, so which should I go for?
